Christopher Kizina, MD

Dr. Kizina is a staff physician with Advanced Perioperative Medicine, P.A. (“APM”) and Advanced Interventional Pain Management, the pain management arm of APM.

Previously, he was a staff physician focusing on both anesthesiology and pain management with Middletown Anesthesia Group, PC / Pain Care Associates, LLC, servicing St. Mary Medical Center (Langhorne, PA); Aria Health Physician Services servicing Aria Health – Torresdale, Frankford and Bucks Campuses (Philadelphia and Langhorne, PA); and West Penn Anesthesia Associates, where he provided anesthesia services to West Penn Allegheny Health System – Forbes Regional Campus (Monroeville, PA).

Dr. Kizina graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. He made the dean’s list, was accepted into the Golden Key national honor society and the Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-medical honor society, as well as earning multiple scholarships. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine (Philadelphia, PA), where he earned the Learner Medical Scholarship, was a delegate to AMSA National Convention, and vice-president of the American Medical Student Association (Temple Chapter). He completed an internship in general surgery at Staten Island University Hospital (Staten Island, NY), a residency at Temple University Hospital (Philadelphia, PA) where he also served as chief resident and was the delegate to ASA-RC House of Representatives (San Francisco, CA), and completed his fellowship training in pain management at The Institute for Pain Medicine at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital (Pittsburgh, PA).

Licensed in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Arizona, he is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Kizina is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, New Jersey State Society of Anesthesia and American Academy of Pain Medicine.
